The Joy of Giving…giving away happiness! Before I reveal the winner, I would like to thank those who took the time to tell me about someone in their life who really touched them in a way this past year. Someone they truly felt deserved to be recognized for who they are…very special.
It’s time to share with you the person who will be receiving the gift of a free photo session along with 5 edited images on a CD for their personal use. However, I first need to take a moment and tell you a bit about this very special person.
Her name is Mary Catherine Woolley. She is the devoted and loving wife of David Woolley and the mother of four very sweet children. In the past year, Mary Catherine has given herself completely in helping to find a cure for her husband’s brain tumor which he was diagnosed with in the early part of 2010. She has spent endless hours in the doctors’ offices, online researching, waiting during his 7+ hours of surgery, finding a way to get to the best doctors at Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City all the while taking care of her children. This self LESS act of service to her loved ones is what makes her stand out above the rest! Selfishness has become an all-to-easy mode for Americans to enter and get fixed in, but times of difficulty lift us out of our own world and help us to focus on others. Mary Catherine is deserving of great appreciation for the road she’s traveling through her husband’s battle with cancer. I would to love to capture this moment in time for her and her family for life is so precious.
I would also like to take a moment to thank Darcy Johnson who took the time to write me a note about how she has been so touched this past year by Mary Catherine. For her ability to carry on through such difficult times and feels she rises above any other person this past year! Darcy thank you for helping to touch someone’s heart with love.
Mary Catherine, my thoughts and prayers are with you and in this New Year I pray God will provide you and your family with all the necessary care you need to fight this terrible disease. Nothing would make me happier then to know you can get back the life you are so deserving of.
Congratulations…I look forward to meeting you and your family and helping to capture memories that will last a lifetime.
Smiles and Blessings, Catherine
