Theme for this week “Festive Colors.”
This week Michael and I have a wonderful time making our annual gingerbread house. Actually, Mom just puts the house together and he does all the decorating.
He has such patience when it comes to his design and arranging of the candy. I love how this year he decided to add a mound of snow and his lego quad rider.
We also enjoyed ourselves as we visited the Gingerbread House Festival which was held at the Wood Library in South Windsor, CT.
There were over 60 gingerbread houses on display throughout the library made from different bakeries, restaurants, brownie troops and residents from all
over the state. There was even a very detailed gingerbread rendition of the Wadsworth Atheneum made by Max Downtown. This was a free event that ran from
November 28th through December 15th. Next year I think we’ll bring Michael’s gingerbread house creation over for display.
I included some photos from the event. Have you ever made gingerbread house? It’s run and relaxing…give it a try!
