{ Project 52 – Week 3 }

Theme for this week “Shades of Grey.”

It was Sunday afternoon, relatively warm and so I decided to take a walk to get some fresh air. It was around 4 o’clock and the sun was beginning to set.

I was walking and embracing the beauty around me, the warm color of the sun, the bright snow, icicles hanging down from windows, the bare trees…it was winter and I was loving it!

I had walked about a mile when it hit me…I’m turning around and going home to get my camera! The lighting was just to perfect.

So with camera in hand, I jumped in my car for a drive around town.

Winter in New England can be very grey…dreary looking, but with fresh snow and the sun going down it was just stunning!

I was driving down the road when off to the right I noticed this fence. The sun was shining on the snow and the fence to me just popped! Vibrant…that’s all I could see.

I quickly pulled over to capture what my eyes were seeing and when I got home and uploaded my images I was pleased.

I changed this image to black and white for my assignment but I do love it!

It reminds me of a true New England winter.
