{ Project 52 Week 21 }

Theme for this week  “A Need For Speed!”

Ok…so last week I thought it was the best and most exciting theme.  Well…I think this week’s challenge not only top the excitement of last week, but gave me a rush that lasted the entire day!   What a thrill I had photographing sky divers for 3 hours!

This week’s challenge gave me the opportunity to finally check out a local sky diving company just 4 miles from my house called, Connecticut Parachutists, Inc. You can find out more about them at SkydiveCT.com.

They’re a great bunch of folks and they let me go out to the landing pad and photograph as sky divers were coming down all around me!  What a rush…what a thrill!

Yes…there was some danger involved in photographing out in the middle of the field.  I had two rules to follow: 1) Once I took my spot I wasn’t able to move because the sky divers are looking for open space to land and don’t need to see someone moving around on the ground.  2) If someone was going to land on me and that was a possibility I had to hit the ground and not move.   It was a risk…but I went for it!

I have always wanted to try this sport…I believe sometimes you just have to live on the edge!  I love excitement it offers…and after today I definitely have to do it!  Just don’t tell my Mom…she would just die!  My Mom knows I have always wanted to sky dive and she has always told me to not do it.  So when I do decide to jump Mom won’t know…until I’ve landed on the ground!

So…I’m looking for a thrill seeker to jump with me….any takers?  Please, please contact me!  It’s a lifetime opportunity!

    Great photos!!! As a former sky diver with my ex-husband..this sport is alot of fun and very safe. It’s probably the safest sport around. Thanks for the photos. And, I’m sure you will love sky diving when you do get the chance to go for it. 🙂 ShirlReplyCancel
