From The White House.

Monday was quite the exciting day for Michael.   A day full of camp activities…meeting up with old friends, making new friends.  Sunshine…swimming…archery…drama…arts and crafts…tennis…basketball and more.  However the best part of his day was when we stopped to get our mail.   A letter addressed to Michael.  A very special letter for Michael.  With the return label addressed from “The White House.”   Wow Mom…President Obama wrote me back!   How exciting it was to watch him open his letter from the President of the United States and I was there to capture the joy!

Such a great and memorable moment!

Michael wrote to President Obama over the president holiday week.  I encouraged him to take some time to reflect on our past presidents and to write to President Obama to thank him for the job he is currently doing.  Michael also took this opportunity to ask a few questions about being the president and life in the White House.

May I say… we were both very happy he received a letter back.  A letter Michael will truly hold on to.  Probably forever.

    O.K. now that my tears have stopped. Michael, that was a wonderful letter you received from President Obama. Now you know that your words to the President were heard. Never hesitate to write to the President or your other elected government representatives. We are very proud of you. And, your Mom’s photographs are very, very special.
