Favorites From 2015 Contest!

As amazing as 2015 was with photographing so many beautiful people. I’m here to share with you my favorites. These images may have not been the most popular on social media or maybe they were never even were posted. However, these particular images continuously put a smile on my face.

They are in no particular order and I hope one or all make you smile too.

For me, January is always a time to reflect back on how I have grown in the past year as an artist. Time to celebrate how I pushed my creativity through my lens or photoshop. If I don’t continuously learn something new I will get bored and I don’t want that to ever happen because I am truly blessed with the gift God has given me. Time to honor the individuals or families I had the incredible opportunity to work with capturing their special moments.

So I have an idea…I’m going to run a “Favorite Portrait Of The Year” contest! Here’s how it’s going to work. The contest will run a full week and the portrait that has the most individual comments will win!

If there are 50 or more comments there will be a prizes for two winners…the person that comments and the individual or family that is in the portrait! So make sure you share this post on the social media platforms you use so word will get out!

What will they each win? One very lucky commenter will win a FREE 1/2 hour mini session in the coming year. The individual or family will win a $75.00 print credit.

So let the fun begin…enjoy browsing through the images and remember to comment below which image is your favorite!

  1. I love them all! I will say my favorite is the girl in the white chair. She really looks like she’s happy.

  2. Catherine, I agree with Elizabeth, they are all stunning portraits! I’m a sucker for kids so I’d have to vote for the babies in the wash tub…that expression in the boys face, priceless!!

  3. Favorite is two girls in the sunflower field for obvious reasons 🙂 but they are all such beautiful photographs! Great job Catherine

  4. I like the young lady blowing confetti best. It’s a happy picture and an unique one as well. The girl in the white chair is a close second because she looks so happy and relaxed. Love the babies too…they are all so good.

  5. You are so so talented and blessed! I love the young man playing the sax pic in the sunset! It’s amazing!

So glad to call you friend!

  6. Love the third one down. All those curls!!!
Every picture is special in their own way but it’s definitely my favorite!

  7. my favorite is the little blue eyed girl in the snow because it’s beauty includes innocence and joy!

  8. Beautiful pictures but my favorite is the baby boy in the bucket with the the gorgeous curls!!

  9. Thank you everyone for your kind words. We’re on our way to hitting 50 comments! I would LOVE to see two lucky winners!

  10. The little boy in the apple basket is my favorite! Makes me want to scoop him up, play with him and hear what he appears to be saying in that moment.

  11. My favorite is the first one, the blonde with her arms resting in the chair. But they all are beautiful! I’m thrilled we had you as our photographer!

  12. Stunning Catherine!! I love the baby girl with the crown, however, the beautiful young pregnant woman is the winner in my eyes!!

  13. These are so beautiful! Amazing work! My favorite is the first one, the girl sitting in the chair in the sunflower field! Stunning!

  14. All of these pictures are super fabulous, but I choose the curly haired cutie in the stripes! How can that hair NOT win?!?!

  15. All these pictures are so beautiful but I have to vote for my curly haired dude in the basket❤️

  16. I love all of these stunningly, beautiful photos, each one is so very different yet captures the subject perfectly. I must say, the first one of the lovely young lady sitting in the sunflower field is my favorite!

  17. All are so beautiful! It was extremely hard to choose but the second one with gentleman on sunset steals my heart.

  18. I’d have to say the first photo. The expression on her face is pure joy, happiness, and confidence to “take on the world” all rolled into one shot. You captured it perfectly!

  19. I LOVE the second photo the most, the young man and the sax. But…they are all amazingly beautiful photos!

  20. How difficult to pick just one!!! Love them ALL! But I have to say, in spite of all the ridiculous snow last year, the one of the little girl with the gentle falling snow is pulling at my heartstrings.

  21. Curly hair baby in basket is adorable (plus I know him and that shows his sweetness). I have to give a nod to Ryan Browne. Sax, girl in fur with startling blue eyes, girl with flag in sunflowers and the girl lying on her belly with her legs crossed in background are other favorites. Too many good choices.

  22. All such beautiful photos!!! Hard to pick just one. My favorite is the boy playing the the sax with the sunset. The sky is too gorgeous not to love.

  23. What a beautiful collection of photos! So hard to pick a favorite but I’d have to choose the two girls in the river making the heart with their hands. That one looks like it’s from a magazine!

  24. Love them all too Catherine. I thought we could vote for two if I read this right.
1st choice is Sax player with the setting sun.
2nd choice is the babies in the Tub.

They are all wonderful photos and those parents and you should be so proud of what you created and stylized their portraits.
    Christopher

  25. I love your work Catherine! Everyone one of these photos shows pure talent as an artist. Congrats! You make it hard to decide but I will go with little children in the tub, I love their expressions.
