{ Joanna Class of 2011 }

It was such a pleasure to photograph Joanna’s Senior portraits. I have known Joanna for many years and have watched her grow into a wonderful smart and talented young lady.

Mom and Dad must be very proud of you.  We laughed and chatted as we traipsed through a field of wild flowers, laid on the ground and thought a

snake was nearby and walked down a dark alley to capture all her unique photos.  I wish you Joanna, the best in your senior year and that you may be

blessed with happy moments to treasure a lifetime.  Enjoy the peak of some of your photos.

Catherine…If my daughter were still in high school I would hire you in a minute to do her Senior Class pic’s. In fact, I may have you come to Cape Cod some time when I go North and do a model shoot. She was a Barbrizon model in her teen years..so maybe this would be a good thing to have a portfolio made up for her sometime. Your work is just beautiful…you take the time to capture the essence of your subject! Beautiful job on all that I’ve seen on your website! I see the love of your craft in your work. I was so pleased to be able to photograph my brother’s little grandson Nick this past week.  He’s almost one year old and what a good little guy!

{ Up, Up and Away! }

It was one year ago today, September 7, 2009, I received my first iMac as a birthday gift from my husband Charles.  This gift was to help begin a new chapter in my life, a journey, an adventure, a dream, of opening my own photography business.

This dream has taken many hours, days and months of learning what it takes to not only design your own website and with the help of a great friend get the mechanics behind it to work…but to put all the pieces in place to start a business.  Yes, it’s been hard work, but I have truly enjoyed all the learning along the way!

I give thanks to my family who has given me tremendous support this past year, to the friends that have given their technical expertise, their time, their advice in helping me to get my business off the ground and to the many others, I am truly grateful and without your help could not have made this dream come true.

With a bit of nervousness, a lot of excitement…I am finally ready to share with you my new website, and mostly welcome you to “Joyful Reflections Photography…Capturing the JOY of life!”

These photos are from the Plainville Hot Air Balloon Festival which I recently attended and loved!

Catherine, it was worth the wait and hard work. The site is amazing and your work is incredible! Love the pics you chose to display, you’ve got the “eye” girl! Wishing you lots of luck in turning your dream into a reality. Lets get together soon.

I especially like the composition of the second hot air balloon – that would be so cool blown-up and framed on a kids pottery barn wall. All my best to you in this business!
