    Catherine …Your dad was one of the best men I ever knew because he enjoyed life and loved his family…every last one even if you weren’t born into it. He loved parties (family gatherings) and friends and people. He loved to garden and 4H fairs and all the real fun things in life…you have a special dad and everyone who knew him knew he was fun to be around. I loved him, he always made me laugh and feel a part of your family.ReplyCancel

    Cath – That was beautiful. I miss our Daddy too! I haven’t thought much about Dad today because I didn’t want to be in tears all day. But now that work is done, and we’re at Mom’s having supper, I can relax and think about my dad and reminise and miss him. Thanks Little Sis! Luv, RoseReplyCancel

    Catherine, I can’t believe it’s already been a year since your dad passed away. This was a wonderful way to honor him and I’m sure he would appreciate what you have done. Wonderful memories and thoughts.ReplyCancel

      Suki,

      So sorry to hear that your father has entered Eternal Heaven. You heart is heavy and that’s ok. Time will help you. Keep all the wonderful memories you had together close to your heart and you will find strength. I still talk to my Dad from time to time and I still weep. It’s ok…I know he must be in a happier place and he’s my personal angel.ReplyCancel

    A very touching reflection on and tribute to your father. You’ve made me remember as well of the good things about my own dad. Down memory lane I could always see my dad’s hand grasping mine and supporting me in my walk through every step of the way. Thanks for sharing your loving thoughts of your father. God bless you…ReplyCancel

{ Project 52 Week 19 }

Theme for this week “Window Light.”   This beautiful orchid was a gift my sister in-law Lucy received on Mother’s Day.  As I was sitting in the kitchen looking at this beautiful plant on the window sill, I thought the afternoon light was perfect and I liked the reflection in the window so I captured…

{ Project 52 Week 18 }

Theme for this week “First thing in the morning.” For the past week this is where you would find me first thing in the morning…in the gardens. I have been on vacation visiting my Mom in Florida and while there I spent time each morning working in my father’s gardens.  I say my father’s gardens…

    I love the pic of the morning dew. I remember as a teen/early 20’s I would run around my backyard, barefoot in the morning dew. There was something so refreshing to me, by starting the day like that!ReplyCancel
