It’s 2014!

It’s a New Year with new beginnings and new adventures just waiting to evolve but before I jump into the new year I want to share a bit of the most wonderful Christmas gift I received…the month of December for me.  Time to spend with family and friends…times that brought me such joy…times I will forever cherish.  So here’s to December and many of it’s happenings.

A bit of snow at the beginning of the month put me quickly in the Holiday mood even though there were still some leaves to be found.

My dear mother in-law Dorothy Cella who’s 91 came to stay with us for two weeks.  These were the best two weeks!
2013-11-26_0001Homemade pasta with homemade meatballs was our enjoyment for this day.  Yummy!
2013-11-27_0001A family adventure to get our Christmas tree.  Love Hemlock tree farm…we’re going to miss you!
2013-11-29_0001Dot had the privilege of hanging the Christmas nail..a nail that helps us remember what Christ did for us and making our tree a “CHRISTmas” tree.
2013-12-01_0001I loved all the snow we were blessed with the week before Christmas.
2013-12-24_0003I had a few days to be creative and I enjoyed photographing everything white and it was a winter wonderland time.
2013-12-10_0003Ellington folks…do you remember this dairy farm?
2013-12-10_0004I loved putting my new prop to good use.  It stayed decorated and full of packages throughout the Christmas season.
2013-12-11_0001The stocking were hung inside and out!
2013-12-12_0002Just love this old sled.
2013-12-15_0001Time to write out all the Christmas cards.  A job I truly did enjoy.
2013-12-16_0001I broke down and did one mini photo session this month for a good friend of mine.  Here are her two beautiful daughters.
2013-12-18_0003My son Michael and I made many gingerbread cookies.  I have come to realize they’re one of my favorite! 2013-12-19_0011Pinterest came in handy for ideas when I wanted to create a festive vegetable platter for a party.  I just LOVE Pinterest!
2013-12-22_0001Michael and I made Almond Spritz Cookies too.  A lot of time spent decorating these but aren’t they so pretty?
2013-12-24_0001Michael helped his grandmother build her first gingerbread house.  I had fun playing with my camera creating a bokeh Christmas tree.
2013-12-24_0002Christmas day with the Cella family!  What a fun bunch!  I am beyond blessed to have such a wonderful family.  It was the BEST Christmas ever and I am so thankful

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving…soon we will join loved ones and friends around the table to rejoice in all our blessings and to give thanks to the God who has blessed us. Sing the song of Thanksgiving…raise your glass of good cheer and be grateful. Grateful that you are here to celebrate this special day.  As busy as we all may be today I hope you can pause for a moment and remember those who are not with family, our military away from home and loved ones and strangers who may have no family. Pray for them and ask that our God may bless them and provide for them always. I give a special thanks to my family, friends and clients for without you I would not feel as much of the joy as I feel in my heart today. I wish you a special Thanksgiving day!
