Devin ~ Ellington High Class of 2014

I was very excited to meet Devin and do his high school photos…for one I haven’t photographed a male senior in awhile and second I got to use my new background!  When Devin saw the backdrop I made he thought…pretty cool!  That was enough of an approval for me.

Devin is one of those guys who loves and is an “expert” in video games!  A nice guy who is looking forward to culinary school when he finishes high school.  I hope he remembers me if he ever needs someone for taste testing.

Devin here’s a few images from your mini session!  I wish you the best in the coming year and enjoy ever one of those last days of Ellington High!  Precious moments that fly by so fast!

Great Job! The backdrop rocks and your model is quite handsome.

Graffiti in CT.

This week a friend and I went on a small journey to discover to this old abandoned factory in Manchester where there is suppose to be some great graffiti in many abandoned buildings. Well we certainly found it and as creepy as these buildins were the graffiti was amazing. There are a couple of parts to this old factory which I really wondered what they manufactured as I went stumbling through the ruins. There’s the mill and a structure that looks like an old hangar. It looked to me that part of the mill collapsed but the rest remains standing and is full of graffiti among other things like empty paint spray cans, paint trays and yes just trash. However…it was truly cool to photograph.

I’m just waiting for the perfect client who would love to do a photo session here.  It would be amazing with such detail.  High school seniors love places like this full of grunge and graffiti.  So if you know of anyone who would be brave enough to do a session here, contact me…I promise they’ll love it!

Enjoy looking through these images and pay attention to all the detail in these buildings…creepy but cool.  FYI…I would not go here alone. If you go, bring a flashlight and wear good walking shoes…it’s a bit of a hike. Oh you would like to know where this place is?  It’s behind Bob’s Discount Furniture… just look for the smoke stack from the road.  Enjoy your journey.

Wow! What a great find and totally cool place. I’ve still yet to find anything like that here. Can’t wait to see all the amazing images that come out from there. Get busy lady!!

This would make a great backdrop for a Halloween session! There is definitely a creep factor going on in some of these shots. I’m going to have to check it out!

Wow, awesome shots!

Irene - September 7, 2013 - 9:30 am

Amazing photography!

Bonnie - September 7, 2013 - 8:58 pm

Love the graffiti!
I can just picture a rock band posed up against it. Or a wedding party. I know, oddball, but really would be neat!

I love abandoned places. The art here is impressive – not what you’d expect to find behind a Bob’s store!

Kim - September 13, 2013 - 8:25 pm

What an amazing place…I would love to have photos taken here with my kids.

Middle School.

How excited our little man was to start school this week.  He began Middle School….really?  The years sure do fly by.  It’s seem as if I was just putting him on the bus for kindergarten.

We had a nice talk the day before school started and I asked him some questions.  One of my questions went like this…”So what are you looking forward to most entering 7th grade?”  His answer…”I look forward to more freedom, math challenges, trying out for the soccer team and cross country team and getting an iphone!”  He also shared with me his personal goals which are getting all A’s, making the soccer team, running a mile under seven minutes and continuing to improve in piano.  They all sound good to me and I was very happy he didn’t mention girls.  I’m not quite ready for that and my advise to him a year ago was…you don’t want a girlfriend…they’re to expensive!  He laughed but has shared that statement with a few of his buddies. They all grow up to fast!

My little man is maturing…yes I  hate to admit it but it’s happening.  Michael your mom and dad are very proud of you and we wish you the best this year!  Stay happy…be yourself…work toward your goals and keep listening to his spirit that talks to you…it will always lead you down the right path.  Love you!

Neighbors and the BEST of buds since they were two years old.
Back to the essentials of reading, writing and studying.

Photos are great, love your touches of school themed items too, such as chalked notes and the scrabble board. Very creative. Cathy
