Project 52 – Week 18
Theme for this week “Natural Light.”
This week hasn’t been the sunniest and it’s been raining which meant there wasn’t a lot of nice natural light, but that’s reality and you use what is available. So I left the house early one morning, met up with my friend Cheryl so I could try out her Nikon 105mm macro lens. I played with it for an hour or so in the fields and neighborhood yards. I enjoyed photographing with this lens very much, however I forgot my monopod…it’s a bit heavy so used my shoulder instead and photographed in a twisted position. A trick to remember when you need sturdiness. I came home looking like I had been in a mud fight…my jeans especially my knees were filthy and I was wet. The jeans went immediately into the wash and me into a warm shower. The joy of trying to capture unique shots and compositions. It’s all worth it in the end. Here’s my winning image that made it into the top ten for the week! See all the winners here. There were many great entries this week!
