I can hardly believe today is the last day of 2011. Why does each year seem to fly by so quickly? I want life to slow down just a bit so I can savor and remember more moments. I enjoyed spending time this morning reflecting over the past 12 months while trying to pick my top 11 photos of Michael. You would think it would be an easy task but it wasn’t…I love to many.
Well…these are my top 11 pretty much in chronological order. Enjoy looking through them and perhaps join us with your favorites from 2011! I look forward to a new year with new challenges and plenty more interesting and fun adventures to capture! Happy New Year’s everyone!
Michael enjoying some night time snow boarding while Mom tries out different modes and settings on her camera so she can capture this.
We set up spot lights and all for this event and it was snowing too…what a way to start off the winter season! With action!
Michael while on our annual trip to Jamaica to the same resort…to see the same people and we love them! All of them! And we love this tree too! It’s so unique.
Michael driving his old tractor plowing our driveway after another powerful storm hits Connecticut! His toy, Dad bought him this tractor when we has 8 years old
and he loves driving this old machine. It has since died and for Christmas Mom surprised her boys with a brand new toy…a snow plow!
We now plan on making igloos with all the snow we blow…now we just need it to snow!
This was a day in Mom’s studio letting Michael express himself. It was part of Project 52 and the week’s theme was “Express Yourself” and he surely did!
Another 30 minutes of pure fun while Michael put on a show for the camera! I wish I could share all the awesome photos…this one happens to be his more
serious thinking look but I love it. If you go back to my Project 52 photos you can see the image that actually won for one of the top 10 photos of the week.
Michael receives a letter from President Obama…what a surprise that day after school. He wrote President Obama on President’s day asking him
questions about being president and all. He also told him a bit about himself and his thoughts on our country. He was thrilled to receive a letter back.
Mom letting her boy be a boy! Fun in the mud in April! I will never forget how much he loved doing this and me photographing this adventure.
We have so many photos from this day riding and jumping in all that water and mud! A truly good time.
Michael hanging out at his Nana’s place just relaxing and fishing all day. Love this photo because it’s just truly natural. He was putting bread on his
fishing pole for bait and it actually worked. He caught about 5 small sunfish that day. It’s all about the trill….then we release them back into the pond.
First day of 5th grade! How can that be? Already? When your kids get older you can’t always get the traditional first day of school photos so I decided to have fun.
Together Michael and I got creative with photos and the balancing act too! We laughed together trying to pull this one off.
Lazy, hazy days of summer relaxing by the pond. I love this photo for the way I processed it. It reminds be of Huckleberry Fin.
On September 11th, our town had a wonderful memorial service to honor the firefighters that lost their lives that day. Michael helped set up flags with the cub scouts
and boy scouts…each flag represented a fire fighter who lost his life fighting to save others on that terrible day.
After a crazy day of snow…and lots of it in October. Michael and I decided to make pumpkin snowmen. I really love this photo because it shows how silly
Michael can be when Mom wants to take a photo. The true him! Enjoy life….the way it should be.
